Working across our relationship brand(s) within the LBG portfolio, we're looking for an experienced Assistant Marketing Manager to support with the delivery of both customer engagement and conversion marketing activity within the Savings Marketing team, in order to achieve the agreed customer and commercial objectives.

The Savings Marketing team is part of the Consumer Relationships Squad, which supports the Consumer Relationships business unit, and the role will report into a Marketing Manager.

The role will support in the delivery of content and communications across a range of media channels, from paid channels such as direct mail and email, to owned channels such as internet banking, branch and our website - working with colleagues across the business and external agencies to deliver targeted and personalised customer engagement.

  • We’re a centre of excellence for audience-aligned marketing activity in paid and owned channels, with the aim of driving engagement with customers to meet their savings needs.
  • We inform and educate customers on our range of savings products that can help them manage their money and achieve their savings goals.
  • We drive deeper engagement with existing savings customers, helping them to unlock the features and benefits of their products and provide additional support to help them service their savings needs.
  • We collaborate closely with product owners to develop audience campaign strategies that align to and drive towards desired customer and business outcomes.
  • We strive to deliver creative excellence, through the effective use of data to personalise and continuously improve the customer experiences we build.


Key Accountabilities:
  • Work closely with business divisions, the wider marketing team, and internal and external agency partners to develop and complete campaign activities.
  • Monitor campaign performance and external market factors to review and refine activity and drive desired outcomes from the communications
  • Communicate effectively with partners to manage activity to timelines and be adaptable to respond to challenges and feedback through campaign development.
  • Make recommendations on how to deliver brilliant customer communications, utilising available insights and findings.
  • Leverage new conversion technology / capability as it comes on board, to consistently improve performance.


What you'll need
  • Experience of delivering either engagement or conversion / direct response activity in 121 channels - Email, Direct Mail or Internet Banking.
  • Experience of working with marketing agencies to deliver activity.
  • Able to interpret customer and performance insights and recommend improvements to customer communications and journeys.
  • Able to build relationships and collaborate with partners.
  • Customer-curious, with a continuous improvement mind-set.
