We're looking for a talented Catering Assistant to work for our client.
If you can demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast paced environment, then you could be exactly what they're looking for.
Please note: This is a temporary, part-time role working 20 hours per week. In this position you'll be needed to work at weekends and occasionally work some shifts in early evening hours. Full details of how this will work will be revealed at interview.
The Role:
As the Catering Assistant you'll report to the Event Manager and will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the back of house operation in conjunction with the rest of your team.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Assisting with the unloading and movement, and correct storage of food goods and stores, ensuring HACCP checks e.g., temperature checks, are undertaken and recorded; informing the cook / chef in charge of any irregularities
- Checking and preparing orders for customers
- General cleaning duties
The standard working hours for this position are 11am - 7pm weekend and 4pm - 10pm during the week (dependant on night).
The Candidate:
To be considered for the Catering Assistant role you'll need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast paced environment.
In addition, you'll need the following:
- Understanding of general catering health and safety requirements
- Understanding of basic food hygiene requirements
- Friendly personality and be a team player who enjoys working and integrating with others to ensure evry guest has a memorable experience
The ideal person for the role will be the following:
- Able to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
- Able to work in fast paced changing environment
- Reliable and flexible
