We need a Risk and Assurance Advisor to join our Risk and Assurance team at AWE.
Salary Range: Starts at £34,400 - £40,000 depending on experience
We are located in the countryside at Aldermaston, RG7 4PR. We’ll need you on site up to 2 days per week.
This is an exciting time to join us a Risk and Assurance Advisor as we begin working towards updating the weapons on all the submarines in the UK CasD programme. You will come from an assurance background as you will be supporting co-ordination of assurance activities across the team and play a pivotal role in educating the business on what assurance means. We need you to see the bigger picture to be successful in this role.

- Collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen risk, control and assurance
- Developing an assurance map
- Maintaining reporting for the Corporate Assurance function, applying the standards, processes, and metrics required, to inform appropriate decision making
- Identifying improvements in how we assure risks
We do need you to have the following skills:
- Knowledge of modern corporate governance, assurance mapping and enterprise risk management techniques
- Good communicating and influencing skills
- Demonstrable evidence of performance reporting and analysis
- Knowledge of modern assurance mapping and enterprise risk management techniques
- Background in a Science & Technology/Public sector / Regulated organisation, preferably in a governance, risk or audit role

- Interviews will be scheduled during working hours
- Interviews will be 90 minutes on TEAMS and will include a 5-to-10-minute presentation
