We are looking for an experienced Relief Cook to prepare and serve nutritious, visually appealing meals and snacks. The role requires maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen while ensuring meals meet individual dietary needs. Promoting service user participation in home activities is also a key aspect of this position.
You will be responsible for kitchen efficiency, hygiene, and safety, following CrossReach's policies and procedures. Duties include managing stock records, ordering supplies, and adhering to budgets, while preparing meals to the highest standard and promptly addressing any health and hygiene issues.
A relevant qualification such as City and Guilds is desirable, along with previous catering experience and basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and internet use. Respect for Christian worship is required, and candidates must be members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and complete necessary vetting checks.
