We are recruiting Bar and Events Assistants on a temporary contract to join Coventry University Event and Operational Team, to delivery a high-end bar service and excellent customer service during Events and Sports Fixtures at their sites at Square One (Coventry Campus) and Westwood Heath (near Warwick University).
As a Bar and Events Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:
Meet, great and welcome all customers in a polite manner
Processes all cash and card transactions
Deliver excellent customer service
Carry out bar duties in line with University responsible drinking guidelines (Challenge 21)
Being able to take orders and serve drinks
Pour and serve drinks accurately to maintain customer expectations and reduce product wastage
Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all customers and staff
Support the venues in event set up, delivery and pack down
Deal with customer complaints and in a prompt, profession and proactive manner
Report any maintenance or safety issues whilst on shift
Skills and experience required for the role:
Customer service experience essential, previous bar experience advantageous
Flexible
Organised
Good communication skills
Team Player
Able to work within a busy environment
Able to handle conflict, and work within a calm manner
Hours/Pay Rate:
Part time mainly evenings and weekends between Monday to Sunday
11.44 p/h
Temporary until end of October 2024
