Case Study:

Gemma Lumsden has been at Next for 2 months now, but her journey with us actually started nearly 12 months ago when she was 8 months pregnant.

We approached her to discuss a Head of Online Trade opportunity when she informed us of the good news, she was expecting!

We were delighted to hear how interested she was in next, so we got the ball rolling.  Obviously her due date was fast approaching so Gemma wanted to get any interview done ASAP.  We initially met her at out Head Office where she can in to meet our Online Director.  Shortly afterwards there was a 2nd interview, however she was now only 2 week way form her due date! We decided to hold the 2nd interview at a store local to where Gemma lived to make the process as comfortable and possible.

The baby arrived! Happy, healthy baby Jude.  Shortly following the birth we made her an offer of employment, which we’re so pleased to say she accepted!

Fast forward 7 months, Gemma joined us after her Maternity Leave and Jude is full-time at our onsite nursery.  At Next we are totally committed to supporting parents in their milestones in life.

Gemma and Jude are both very happy at Next!
