QA – Practicing what we preach! Delivering thousands of learning programmes from Apprenticeships, Degrees, Masters and much much more to the general public. The same opportunities are available to our people.
As a company that delivers Education & Training across the UK, we can help support you in your return to work and help you build a fantastic career with us. It may feel daunting when you read a job advert to see the list of education or experience required, especially if you have been out of the work place for a while. We have helped a number of our people upskill in their roles by designing dedicated training programmes to get them up to speed as well as one of our key benefits open to all employees – our annual three day training!
You’re back! Welcome.
Are you looking to return to work after a career break? At QA, we can help you find a fulfilling role that’s flexible and works for you and your family.
We’ve built our Return | (Re)Train returner programme to support new employees returning to work after a career break. It’s designed to help you refresh your skills (or develop new ones!), build your confidence and ease your transition back to work – whether you’re in a familiar role or something new and exciting.
Ask anyone at QA why they love working here and they’ll tell you: the people. When you join us, you’ll enjoy a phased three-month settling-in period, and you’ll be paired up with a buddy/co-pilot to answer all your questions and help you feel at home.
Flexible working options
We offer flexible working contracts wherever possible (including the option to have term-time-only hours) which is great if you have family commitments or need to spend some extra time at home.
(Re)Training We’re all about learning – after all, we’re an education and training company. If you’re completely new to teaching, we offer TAP-accredited training programmes in coaching and skills delivery (fully funded by us!) that will teach you everything you need to know. We also offer refresher courses for returners on topics like building confidence, leadership and communication skills to help you hit the ground running. And since we want you to love learning as much as we do, you’ll also get three days of free training per year from QA’s 1,500+ courses to upskill on any topic you choose.
Progression opportunities We love nothing better than seeing people excel, so we actively encourage our people to apply for our many internal vacancies. And in such a fast-evolving company, progression opportunities abound!
Plenty of downtimeWe offer a generous 25-day holiday package (including the option to have school holidays off) and the option to buy five additional days if you’d like some extra time away for a well-deserved getaway or to spend more time with family.
And more You’ll have access to our discounted gym and cycle to work scheme, two days paid charity leave to give back at a charity of your choice and more! Check out QA Careers for all our company benefits.
As well as providing specific training in your role, everyone can take advantage of our annual three days of paid training from your choice of 1,200+ diverse QA courses (we’re passionate about learning and want you to be too!). You can also undertake an apprenticeship, degree or masters if you missed out of Uni or always wanted to take your education further.
We also understand that juggling a family and work is difficult and a supportive workplace that accommodates your family responsibilities is key. So where we can, we offer flexible working.
Travel can be expensive, which is why we offer interest free season ticket loans.
Can you progress in your career? Of course! We love nothing better than to see people excel, which is why we actively encourage our people to apply for the many internal vacancies we have across our four divisions.
Taking a well-deserved break is important, and sometimes you may need a little extra. So on top of the 25 days annual holiday, you can buy five additional days annually if you are planning a few trips or have child care to contend with. A company that prides itself on having a family feel, we offer Childcare vouchers saving you the cost of tax and national insurance
Keen gym goer or looking to improve your health? We have that covered too. You’ll have access to our discounted gym & cycle to work scheme.
Want to give back? Great, every year you can take two days paid charity leave to raise money, awareness or work for a charity of your choice!
Established in 1985, we’re one of the largest learning services organisations in the UK. Headquartered in Slough with over 20 training centres nationwide, QA Group includes four fast-growing divisions—QA Learning, QA Apprenticeships, QA Consulting and QA Higher Education— which all deliver innovative, award-winning and ever-evolving skills solutions.
At QA, we genuinely transform our learners’ lives, and you could be part of that – whether it’s teaching an apprentice their first line of code, supporting a new manager as they tackle the challenges of dispute management or helping behind the scenes to run our award-winning programmes.
We have lots of opportunities available (techies and non-techies welcome!) but we’re especially looking for passionate trainers and coaches in Cyber security and IT.
“Juggling my career and being a mum? Possible – thanks to the goodwill and understanding of the scheduling team. My role officially requires me to work anywhere in the country, but childcare (which I am primarily responsible for) is 7:30 am till 6 pm – so the team regularly schedules me in my home centre and I work part time. I feel QA would support me in whatever I wanted to do. Right now, my priority is my family and QA support me in this. I know that they will also support me as my children depend on me less and I can focus on my career.
I deliver Microsoft training to IT staff from companies all over the UK and the world, locally or remotely. I teach server and workstation operating systems and am always learning new technologies to deliver them to students. I love meeting people and helping them realise that something they may have found complicated can actually be quite simple. I also love learning about different industries and organisations and how they use technology.”
