FAQS

What does hybrid working look like at SLR?

At SLR, we recognise one size doesn’t fit all, therefore our hybrid working approach is tailored to what you and your line manager agree is best. Typically, full time employees will be coming into an office 2 or 3 days per week.

What does flexible working look like?

We currently adopt a core hours approach of 10am – 4pm to ensure contact is available for clients. If you need to have flexibility within these hours, this is something you and your line manager can agree together.

What is the reality of consulting re travel to sites / clients?

It is the nature of a consultancy to have to be flexible around client requirements, therefore some of our roles may require regular travel to client sites for extended periods of time. This will be highlighted in the advert if the role entails it.

Case Studies

Louise Beale - Group Integration Project Manager

Louise Beale

About 18 months ago I was struggling with anxiety, difficulty multi-tasking, being tired… I’d lost confidence in what I did. I generally felt washed out and old and I was worrying about going into meetings with male colleagues and that they would think I wasn’t up to my job.

I was encouraged to talk to my colleagues about how I was feeling and my symptoms, and I was so impressed with the response. It was overwhelmingly supportive. This really helped me and made me realise I can now support others to be more open and have those honest conversations, because it really does help.

I’ve been working for 29 years in this industry and I was considering asking for a reduction in hours and less responsibility, and now I’m in a much better place and I’m taking on more responsibility. I’m really enjoying my job and I’m really looking forward to my career developing with SLR.
