What is your role at the Rank Group?

Do you have any additional commitments outside work?

I am a mother of two children in school age and my husband and I don’t have any relatives in this country to help.

At what point did you move to a flexible working arrangement at work [eg after maternity leave or did you join the Rank Group on a flex working arrangement]?

I did not join on a flex working arrangement as I didn’t know there was such option. It was a request I placed later because I was struggling to strike a balance between for work and family life.

How does flexible working help with your responsibilities?

It enables me to drop my children off at school in the morning the normal start hours and once a week to pick them up the normal finish hour instead of going to after school clubs.

How do you manage your hours and prioritise your workload?

I have only reduced my break time so my work time hasn’t been affected. When I work from home, I must say I most frequently work more hours than when in the office.

How important is being able to work flexibly to you?

Very much so. Probably more important than anything else an employer might offer.
