Law firm Linklaters has launched a flexible bank holiday scheme in the UK.

Law firm Linklaters is introducing a new scheme in the UK to offer more flexibility around public holidays.

The UK Bank Holiday Exchange Scheme will come into effect from 1st May and enable UK employees to opt-in for the choice to take up to three bank holidays at another time that works for them, in the same holiday year. The public holidays that fall within the Scheme and can be exchanged include the August Bank Holiday, Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Angela Ogilvie, Chief HR Officer at Linklaters, said: “We know that flexibility and agility at work is important to our colleagues, and it supports our inclusive culture. This scheme reflects the diversity of cultural and religious events celebrated across the firm and enables people to flex their UK bank holidays to mark those events that are most meaningful to them, without having to take annual leave.”
