Mizuho launches returnship programme

A securities and investment company is looking for experienced professionals who have taken a career break to take part in a paid returnship programme.

The Mizuho International Return to Work programme is London-based and will run for 10 weeks, starting on 20 February 2017. Those who take part will be reviewed at the end of the programme for a permanent position in the company which is the securities and investment banking arm of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc.

The programme, run in conjunction with return to work coaching experts Women Returners, has opportunities across Fixed Income Sales & Trading, COO Front Office and Risk Management. Those eligible will have taken a voluntary career break of two years or more.

In the first week, participants will attend an induction followed by development and networking sessions to update their skills, knowledge and experience. In the following weeks they will be working and will be assigned a mentor from their department.

They will be given training in technical skills, soft skills training, mentoring and training specially designed for re-entry into the workplace and will learn about business and regulatory changes in the financial services industry.

The closing date for applications is 4 January 2017.
