The NHS is the biggest priority for working mums in the 2017 general election, according to a Workingmums.co.uk poll.

The poll of 159 parents shows 36% rated it the top priority in the election, following by 21% who said Brexit, 19% who said education, 11% who opted for the economy and 4% for defence. The remaining 9% said other issues, including immigration and inequality, were the key issues for them.

One woman who voted for the NHS said: “NHS, which from the perspective of someone working on the front lines, is currently on the brink of collapse due to Tory mismanagement.”

Another simply said: “NHS and Education. None of the others can happen without healthy, educated people.”

Another who opted for Brexit, said: “Brexit, because it affects everything else. NHS and education next.”

Several people said all the issues were equally important.
