O2 has launched a returners programme for those looking to restart their careers after an extended break.
The O2 Career Returners Programme is an 11-week paid programme which is based at the company’s Slough HQ.
It starts on 26th April 2016 and the closing date for applications is 6th March 2016.
Participants will receive mentoring, training and an opportunity to network. O2 says: “This support will help them to get back in the swing of things so at the end of the programme they will be perfectly placed to apply for permanent or interim roles at O2.”
The company is looking for people with a successful track record in a relevant field – such as someone with technical skills in a telecoms or a managed service provider – who has taken a career break of two years or more. They must be looking for full-time roles or to work at least four days a week.
Other experience they are looking for include: service management, customer project management, project coordination, service delivery/relationship management, network tools and service management.
Women Returners provided consultancy to O2 on the design of the programme and the attraction of applicants and will be delivering elements of its Returner Coaching programme.
O2 offers a variety of family friendly policies covering career breaks, paid maternity, adoption, paternity leave and paid time out for fostering and fertility treatment, different flexible working options, family fun days, health and wellbeing programmes that provide counselling and advisory support.
