Having worked at the same company for nine years and always having one Saturday in four off, I have now been told I have to work every Saturday
The problem with this is that I have my granddaughter all weekend to allow her mum to work. My company knows this, but don’t seem very sympathetic to my problem. I know they have to give me 90 days notice, but apart from this is there really nothing I can do?
A company can amend your current terms and conditions of employment provided they consult with you and have sufficient business reasons to make the changes.
I understand that the Company has given you notice to change your contract. If they have not consulted or provided adequate business reasons, you could object to the change and raise a grievance.
