The BBC is looking for parents to feature in a new series about women in business. If you can help, get in touch.
– Dads who have chosen to work flexibly, sharing childcare with their working partners (who may also work flexibly)
– Mums who have given up jobs they loved because work’s not financially viable given the cost of childcare(ideally in the Leicester / Derby / Birmingham region)
This is for a major new two-part documentary series for primetime BBC Two investigating why so few women reach the top in business. The series will explore a range of issues that might be holding women back in their careers and what companies, individuals and government are doing to improve the situation – with two of the major areas being childcare costs and flexible working. The presenter is entrepreneur Hilary Devey (founder of the Pall-EX logistics network and a business “dragon” on Dragons’ Den) and the series will broadcast this autumn.
