Travelodge is recruiting and they are keen to target unemployed parents who want to get back to work.
Travelodge is seeking to fill 4,000 housekeeping roles this year and is targeting unemployed parents.
The jobs are a combination of roles in new Travelodge hotels, additional summer cover and will fill opportunities that become available in the company’s 573 UK hotels throughout the year.
The company has 150 housekeeping positions that need to be filled immediately. It says the vast majority of roles are permanent with flexible working hours designed around the school run.
All Travelodge housekeeping jobs offer guaranteed hours and benefits including 50% discounts on hotel stays. New recruits will also be eligible to join the company’s in-house management programme called ‘Aspire’ which offers comprehensive training on hotel management. In addition Travelodge has careers advice on its website to help mums and dads return to work and provides comprehensive training and a work buddy to help get up to speed.
Rebecca Baker, Travelodge, Director of Talent & People Proposition said: “We have made it our mission to help unemployed parents return to work in the hospitality sector and working in housekeeping is a great route in. At Travelodge we have a strong established workforce of working parents, offering jobs close to home, flexible hours that can work around the school run, benefits that suit families and a career path into management specifically for mums and dads.”
