Looking to return to work in the new year? Two returnship programmes are looking for applicants, one for returning architects and the other for financial services returners.
AJ120, an international, award-winning practice, is launching a paid three-month initiative for an architect who has taken a career break of two years or more. The returnship does not guarantee employment, but is a step back into the workplace.
It says: “During your time at the practice you will be given the chance to catch up with what’s happening in the industry and identify and begin to fill any skills gaps. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in project related activities, dependent upon your skills/experience, in a supportive and flexible working environment.”
Applications close in February and interviews take place in March. The initiative starts on 11 April and runs until 8th July. AJ120 says it is looking for architects with an innovative approach, an open and collaborative working style and a realistic but creative approach to design. To apply email [email protected] including a CV and covering letter detailing your experience to date and why you would benefit from being part of the initiative.
Credit Suisse is also looking for applicants for its ongoing Real Returns programme which runs from April 26th to July 15th. Applications close on January 17th.
Real Returns is a paid employment initiative that runs for approximately 12 weeks and enables participants to work on projects that match their specialist expertise, interests and abilities.
Those chosen will participate in a series of training/orientation modules for return to work, be able to upgrade their technology skills, attend workshops to enhance their presentation and networking skills and receive updates on business and regulatory changes in the financial services industry.
They will also be paired with a mentor who will be there to advise before, during and after the programme. To apply, click here.
