I am being made redundant from my part-time job. I work three days a week. I have been with my employer for 11 years. I have the opportunity of another part-time job (2 days a week) working on the days I’m not contracted with my current employer. If I take this job will I forego my right to redundancy pay with my current employer?
If you are working for a new employer on the other two days then that wouldn’t have an impact on your redundancy pay.
You can find work on the days you are employed currently, but the new contract couldn’t start until you have been through the redundancy process and have ended employment with your current employer.
